Japan 91st in gender gap index
Japan ranks 91st in world gender equality according to a list of 128 countries published today by the World Economic Forum. This mirrors the huge gap that exists between men and women when it comes to opportunities in career/business and education. In the health sector there is more equality but generally speaking, Japan is a male-dominated society. As expected, Nordic countries like Sweden, Norway and Finland occupy the top spots. The US fell to 31st place, from 23rd last year. Click here for complete list.
